The Beastmen (獣人 Kemonohito?), also known as Therianthropes, are a humanoid race similar to Demi-Humans but whose appearance is more animal than human.
Beastmen are common in countries like Shieldfreeden and Siltvelt with numerous individuals living freely. However, in countries like Melromarc, they are rarely seen due to the heavy discrimination they face. In such countries, they are detested even more so than Demi-humans.
Races[]
Eagle[]
An eagle-like therianthrope lived in the ancient past during Mamoru's time. This race is capable of flying. It is unknown if the race has survived to the modern day.[1]
Kobolt[]
Kobolts were seen in ancient Siltran and were noted to be a smaller race of therianthropes.[2]
Lizardmen[]
Lizardmen are, as the name implies, therianthropes with lizard features. A half-bred Lizardman slave was in the possession of the Slave Trader in Melromarc.[3] A different, extinct species of lizardmen were then seen in ancient Siltran which had crocodile-like features. However, these might be demi-humans with a therianthrope form instead of a pure therianthrope. This race is larger than the modern-day lizard men. [2]
Minotaur[]
Minotaurs are an extremely large therianthrope known for their strength and size. One known example of a minotaur is Jaralis' sidekick who fought against Atla in the duel in Siltvelt.[4]
Puma[]
A puma therianthrope lived in the ancient past during Mamoru's time. It is unknown if the race has survived to the modern day.[1]
Sakamata[]
The Sakamata are Orca-like beastmen that closely resemble the Ruka.
Sheep[]
A race of sheep therianthropes were seen in ancient Siltran. One of the ministers of Siltran was a sheep therianthrope who often bleeted while he talked.[2]
Tiger[]
A tiger therianthrope lived in the ancient past during Mamoru's time. It is unknown if the race has survived to the modern day.[5]
Rabbitman[]
There was a rabbitman slave which was being sold by Beloukas.
Racoon[]
A race separate from the racoon demi-human race. These racoons were noted to have a different appearance from Ruft in his therianthrope form.[6]
Ruka[]
The Ruka are a rare species of Orca beastmen that are famous for being the strongest of the aquatic races and it's been said that even Hakuko would flee when opposing them in the sea.
Opuscot[]
The Opuscot race is a race of octopus beastmen.
War Racoons[]
A separate race from the racoon demi-human and therianthrope races. These war racoons were noted to have a different appearance from Ruft in his therianthrope form.[6]
Werewolf[]
Werewolves are Beastmen that look like humanoid wolves. A Level 75 werewolf slave was in the possession of the slave trader in Melromarc after he got injured in the Colosseum in Zeltoble and was sold off. Due to his high level and being too expensive, Naofumi Iwatani could not afford him.
