Sadeena appreciates Naofumi for saving the children of Raphtalia's village, especially in regards to Raphtalia herself. However, she herself falls for Naofumi after he defeats her in drinking alcohol. Naofumi considers her a valuable asset, she is very powerful, reliable, and experienced, even in regards to the other allies he has around him. At every attempt she makes to flirt with Naofumi however, she is turned down naturally.
Sadeena once said, "My life companion must be someone who can drink more than me! If I meet someone like that, I'll never let them go so everyone should be prepared." Hence, when Naofumi beat her in a drinking competition she set her sights on him.

Raphtalia[]
Sadeena cares deeply for Raphtalia as she lived in the same village with Raphtalia as her family's guardian. Raphtalia looks up to Sadeena for her strength and charisma that is similar to an older sister. In return, Sadeena deeply cares for Raphtalia and thinks of her well-being. When Sadeena was away and learned how the village was destroyed by the Wave and the residents were sold to slavery, she felt guilty about how she wasn't there to stop it and tried to find Raphtalia.
When they reunite in the colosseum in Zeltoble, Sadeena didn't recognize Raphtalia since she was in disguise. It wasn't until they fought each other that the two recognize each other after showing their respective true identities. Sadeena would then return to Raphtalia's side as a companion of Naofumi where they save the villagers who were slaves in Zeltoble. Despite their emotional reunion, during their return to the village, Sadeena ends up earning Raphtalia's hostility for how Sadeena desires Naofumi as her life companion.
Sadeena's care for Raphtalia also stems from how close Sadeena was to Raphtalia's father. During a conversation with Naofumi, Sadeena reveals how she seriously thinks of Raphtalia's well-being, especially when it came to the subject regarding relationships and was concerned when Raphtalia wore a traditional Miko outfit. When Raphtalia is revealed to be royalty from another country, Sadeena is revealed to have been Raphtalia's dad's retainer.
Other Companions[]
Larsazusa[]
Sadeena greatly trusts "little Sasa" as she asks the panda therianthrope to both fight against Takt's forces and to defend Naofumi's village in her absence. They seem to have a long history together. While Larsazusa is ostensibly in it for the cash, she seems very willing to do what Sadeena asks of her. The must have had many drinking competitions together as Sasa is scared of Sadeena and her drinking abilities.
Elmelo[]
Similar to Larsazusa, Sadeena also greatly trusts "little El" and seems to have a long history with her. Sadeena mentions that Elmelo is among the top five fighters she fought against in the Zeltoble coliseum (along with Larsazusa and S'yne). When Sadeena needs help fighting Takt or defending the village, Elmelo is more than willing to help.
