Natural and Learnt Abilities[]
Sadeena can fight both in close quarters combat and with magic. She can also use a wide range of ritual magic, including self-buffing magic as well as Ceremonial Magic and Way of the Dragon Vein magic, even being able to swiftly counter-cast Zweite-level spells. She's also a very skilled fighter, being able to more than hold her own against Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo while untransformed, even going as far as pointing out their mistakes while fighting. They could have beaten her had they not been cursed at that time, though.
- Echolocation
Just like cetaceans, Sadeena can use sonar to locate objects and people. This also can render illusion magic ineffective.
- Therianthrope Form
Sadeena can transform into a form resembling a humanoid Orca on land, with legs and arms. This form increases all of her stats and raises her fighting ability while in water environments even further.
- Class-up
After achieving level 100, Gaelion conducted the level-100 limit breaking ceremony on Sadeena. She chose to specialize in agility, strength and then magic compared to her relatively balanced stats before. After the ceremony, her stats were almost double what they were previously.
- Reincarnation Recognition
As a previous Water Dragon Miko Priestess, Sadeena received additional training to understand the essence of souls. Over time, both Sadeena and Shildina started to recognize a common factor behind reincarnated individuals like the Vanguards of the Waves and eventually became able to easily point them out.[1]
Magic[]
Sadeena is extremely proficient with magic and often combines it with her physical abilities in combat to great effect. She is naturally gifted with lightning magic affinity which is very rare for Orca therianthropes although she can also use water magic. She is also well-versed in Way of the Dragon Vein which allows her to cast magic from the surrounding elements and counter other spells. Sadeena is able to use up to Drifa-level magic which is the highest level available to non-heroes and can also use cooperative magic.
Ritual Magic[]
- First/Drifa Chain Lightning「ファスト/ドライファ・チェインライトニング Fasuto/Doraifa Chein Raitoningu」
Several blindingly bright bolts of lightning shoot out from Sadeena towards her targets. This lightning magic then jumps from target to target, causing electric damage. Sadeena often favors channeling this spell out of her harpoon.[2]
- Anti-Zweite Aura「アンチ・ツヴァイト・オーラ Anchi Tsuvaito Oora」
A counter-spell that nullifies the effects of the Aura spell before they're applied.[3]
- Drifa Thunder Burst「ドライファ・サンダーバースト Doraifa Sandaa Baasuto」
An ultra-thick bolt of lightning. Naofumi notes that such power puts it on par with the ritual magic Judgement.[3]
- Drifa Lightning Speed「ドライファ・ライトニングスピード Doraifa Raitoningu Supiido」
Lightning rains down on Sadeena, enveloping and electrifying her body, raising agility. This also electrocutes nearby enemies, like static electricity.[3]
- Drifa Thunder Guard「ドライファ・サンダーガード Doraifa Sandaa Gaado」
This spell envelops Sadeena in thunder, protecting her from attacks.[3]
- First/Zweite/Drifa Thunder Bolt「ファスト/ドライファ/ドライファ・サンダーボルト Fasuto/Tsuvaito/Doraifa Sandaaboruto」
This spell shoots a bolt of lightning. The electricity can be redirected if it strikes a conductive object, such as iron.[3]
- Drifa Paralyzing Thunder「ドライファ・パラライズサンダー Doraifa Pararaizu Sandaa」
It is electric-type paralysis magic.[3]
Techniques[]
- Lightning Strike Harpoon「雷撃銛 Raigeki Sen (lit. Lightning Strike Harpoon)」
Sadeena throws her lightning charged harpoon[4] and then uses the electromagnetic properties of lightning magic to remotely control it.[5]
- Dragonfury Dual Blades「激龍双刃 Gekiryuu Soujin (lit. Furious Dragon's Twin Blades)」
This technique surrounds Sadeena with water in the shape of a Chinese dragon as she attacks the target.[4]
- Orca Strike「逆叉撃 Sakamata (lit. Orca Strike)」
Sadeena focuses swirling water around her tail which she then uses to strike the target.[4]
- Unnamed Wind Infused Charge + Wind Bullet Filo
This techniques accomplished through the cooperation of Filo and Sadeena where Filo (in an eagle-like form) envelopes herself in wind, transforming into a bullet of wind while Sadeena infuses her harpoon with that same wind and uses Dragon Vein Magic using a jewel. They both then charge towards the target with Filo having a high enough maneuverability to even do a 180°. Sadeena herself mentioned that this technique is a copy of the Harpoon Reincarnator's Lightning Strike Dragon.[6]
Dragon Vein[]
- Saint Aqua Blast「セイントアクアブラスト Seinto Akua Burasto」
This spell utilizes Way of the Dragon Vein and holy water to summon a glowing mass of water to crash into its target.[4]
- Saint Aqua Seal「セイントアクアシール Seinto Akua Shiiru」
This spell utilizes Way of the Dragon Vein and holy water to reduce the amount of damage from fire and cursed attacks.[4]
- Wind Seal「ウィンドシール Uindo Shiiru」
This spell makes magic with wind resistance appear in front of Sadeena.[7]
Cooperation Magic[]
- Descent of the Thunder God「雷神降臨 Raijin Kourin (lit. Advent of the Thunder God)」
Sadeena casts this magic in cooperation with Naofumi and is a combination of her lightning magic and the hero-exclusive Aura magic. This buff makes the target's stats skyrocket and allow them to use Electric-type attacks and combo skills.[8] After Naofumi learned to use Liberation-class magic, they were able to cast Descent of the Thunder God at that level.
- The Great Deep「大海原 Oounabara (lit. Great Ocean)」
- Zee Wille「ゼー・ヴィレ Zee Vire (lit. See Viele, "Great Lake/Sea" in Broken German」
This spell was cast with the cooperation of Sadeena (The Great Deep), Wyndia, and Melty (Zee Wille). It summons a massive body of water around the users casting it like a huge aquarium. Fortunately, it only affects those the users consider an enemy so allies will not drown in the water.[4]
- Erasing Aqua Slash「イレイズアクアスプラッシュ Ireizu Akua Supurasshu (lit. Erase Aqua Splash)」
- Annihilating Wave of the Water Dragon「水龍滅波 Suiryuu Metsu Ha (lit. Water Dragon's Wave of Annihilation)」
This spell was cast with the cooperation of Sadeena, Gaelion (Annihilating Wave of the Water Dragon), Wyndia, and Melty (Erasing Aqua Slash). With the magic, Gaelion summons a dense ball of water. As he infuses his breath attack into the ball a massive torrent of water erupts from the other side towards the target. Sadeena then leaps into the raging torrent, swims in circles until it becomes a vortex flying towards the target with Sadeena inside.[9] The magic Annihilating Wave of the Water Dragon, that was translated as Water Dragon Destruction, was noted by Naofumi to be visually similar to Shildina's Wind God Armor.[7]
- Blossomlight Maelstrom of the Water Dragon「水龍桜光滅波 Suiryuu Oukou Metsu Ha (lit. Water Dragon's Luminous Sakura Wave of Annihilation)」
Sadeena casts this Way of the Dragon Vein cooperation magic in cooperation with Gaelion. Gaelion transforms into a roaring tornado of water which spits out water streams in all direction. Sadeena then jumps into the tornado and the two turn into the form of the Water Dragon and slam into the target.[5]
- Image of Gale and Thunder Gods「風神雷神図 Fuujin Raijin Zu (lit. Screen of the Wind and Thunder Gods)」
A cooperation magic involving Sadeena and Shildina's lightning and wind magic to create thunderclouds and tornados in order to strike the target.[10]
- Gale and Thunder Gods「風雷神 Fuuraijin (lit. God of Wind and Thunder)」
A cooperation magic involving Sadeena and Shildina's lightning and wind magic to create a thick blast of lightning which combines with an air-shredding tornado. Naofumi notes this spell to be more powerful than The Church of the Three Heroes ceremonial magic - Judgement.[11]
Jewel Magic[]
While in Glass' World, Sadeena is able to use Jewel Magic with Way of the Dragon Vein, however this puts strain on the jewels and cannot be used too often.
- Jewel Aqua Blast「ジュエル・アクアブラスト Jueru Akua Burasuto」
Summons a water attack from her gemstone accessory.[1]
- Jewel Spark「ジュエル・スパーク Jueru Supaaku」
Summons lightning from the jewel accessory to burn the target to a crisp.[12]
Demon Dragon Magic[]
While in Glass' World, the Demon Dragon Emperor unsealed this magic for non-monsters. This allowed Sadeena to create a temporary contract with the Demon Dragon which to empower her spells using the Demon Dragon's power.
Binding Cross
Summons a cursed cross which sucks the target onto its surface. While the target is held by this skill, they are both restrained and burned by the cursed cross at the same time.[12] Mistranslation of Sadeena using said magic instead of the Demon Dragon.
Beast Transformation[]
With the help of Naofumi's Beast Transformation Assist skill from the Shield of the Beast King, Sadeena is able to transform into a massive Orca form which is much more powerful than her regular therianthrope form. Both her physical and magical abilities are boosted and with this form she can now swim in air as though it were water.
- Thunder God「鳴神 Narukami (lit. Thunder God)」
This spell summons thunderclouds above the target and drops a thunder-strike larger than any of her usual spells.[13] Sadeena does eventually learn to perform the spell, albeit a slightly weakened version, without undergoing a Beast Transformation.[7]
- Successive Thunder God「連鎖鳴神 Rensa Narukami (lit. Chain Thunder God)」
A variant of Thunder God that has the properties of the magic Chain Lightning.[13]
- Sea God「海神 Wadatsumi (lit. Sea God)」
This spell summons a vast tidal wave which then rolls over the target.[13]
- Great Sea God「大海神 Oowadatsumi (lit. Great Sea God)」
An upgraded form of Sea God which Sadeena casted with Gaelion. This spell summons a mass of swirling water around the casters who then charge toward the target to cause a devastating blow.[13]
Vassal Harpoon[]
After liberating the Vassal Harpoon from a Vanguard of the Wave, the Vassal Weapon chose her as its new worthy owner. Due to her extensive training and combat prowess in using a harpoon, she is able to use this weapon incredibly effectively. In addition, the Vassal Harpoon's power-up methods allow her to upgrade her stats beyond what any non-hero can achieve.[14]
Offensive Abilities[]
- Harpoon of 0「０の銛 Zero no Mori」
This skill has 0 damage, cooldown and SP consumption. However, it was found to be effective against illegitimate powers.
