The Rebuilding Arc Part 2 is the fifteenth arc of the Light Novel and the thirteenth arc of the Web Novel of The Rising of the Shield Hero.
Synopsis[]
Now that Naofumi has gained villagers for his new territory, now it is time to train and upgrade the infrastructure.
Summary[]
Realizing that there are still powerful enemies besides the other heroes, Naofumi and his party train in earnest. Their main efforts lie in learning the powerful Hengen Muso style which allows them to utilize life force. Naofumi also stops by Erhard's shop to order materials for Raphtalia's Vassal Katana.
Returning to the village, Naofumi finds that an eccentric alchemist named Rat had arrived. She offers her services which allow her to research and modify different monsters which Naofumi accepts. She modifies Naofumi's BioPlant in order to creating housing for the village. Apparently, the village had also received a large amount of gifts from Shield-loving countries such as Siltvelt or Shieldfreeden and they find a dragon egg among them. With Rat and Wyndia's help, Naofumi decides to raise it and he is named Gaelion.
Soon after, Naofumi returns to Erhard's shop and the Vassal Katana gains a new ability from the weapon Erhard had forged.
