The Legendary Ofuda is one of four Legendary Weapons from Glass' World. The current wielder is Shildina.
Overview[]
An ancient text describing the requirements to be a legitimate Legendary Ofuda wielder was found in the Demon Dragon's treasure room. According to the text, the user must be:
- "...born from... and given life to replace on with duties to perform; who can recreate any technique. You who have run from that role, swimming beyond the worlds in pursuit of freedom. The ofuda holy weapon will surely come to you"[1]
The original wielder of the Legendary Ofuda who was summoned alongside Kizuna ended up being deceived by the the enemy behind the waves. Similar to Ren, Itsuki, and Motoyasu, they believed that they were in a game and were not taking being a Hero seriously. They ignored Kizuna's attempts to unite the heroes against the waves. Apparently, the original wielder believed that the waves were "updates" for the game.
Eventually, the original wielder, along with the wielders of the Legendary Jewel and Legendary Blunt Instrument were killed by the Vanguards of the Waves including Miyaji. since were deemed to be "unworthy".[2] The Legendary weapons, including the Legendary Ofuda fell into the Third Army's hands and was suppressed by one of their control accessories. The Legendary Ofuda was given to a vanguard of the wave with the ability to have his own pocket dimension. Despite being controlled by the enemy, the Legendary Ofuda had some agency since it forcefully summoned Shildina into Glass' World while the other heroes were travelling between dimensions. This Ofuda Reincarnator then joined part of the Harpoon Reincarnator's attack force for the Demon Dragon. Due to Glass and Shildina's teamwork and Rino's interference by swapping out the control accessory, the Legendary Ofuda was then liberated from this illegitimate wielder. The Legendary Ofuda then chose Shildina as its new wielder. The Legendary Ofuda was then transported to Raphtalia's World after it gave special permission to Shildina.
Exactly what Legendary Ofuda's vassal weapons are are unknown, but they are suspected to be Vassal Fan and Vassal Musical Instrument.
Power-up Method[]
As a Legendary Weapon, the Ofuda has three power-up methods.
- Magic Rank: As the you level up, you gain points to upgrade your spells.
- Increasing Rarity [レアリティ増加 Reariti Zōka (lit. Rarity Increase)]: By injecting energy into a weapon, you can increase its overall rarity. A weapon's rarity starts at C (common) and can be repeatedly increased to UC (uncommon), to R (rare), and so on.
- Growth Revision [資質向上 Shishitsu Kōjō (lit. Innate Quality Improvement)]: Sacrificing levels can draw out latent abilities and permanently increase stats of any willing target.[3]
