Unlocking the Rage Shield, Naofumi manages to defend himself and Raphtalia long enough for Filo to defeat the Zombie Dragon. They earn a powerful artifact from the battle, but Raptalia is cursed as a side effect of Naofumi's shield. They set out to find some powerful Holy Water to cure her but, shortly after leaving the village, they run into a mysterious girl who has a connection to Filolials.
