An Attacker that Charges like a Boar (猪のような襲撃者 Inoshishi no Yōna Shūgeki-sha?) is the seventy-eighth chapter of The Rising of the Shield Hero manga adaptation.
Synopsis[]
As the Naofumi and his allies start planning to take down the elusive Kyo, a mysterious attacker suddenly barges into to confront the heroes.
Summary[]
A mysterious attacker bursts through the door of Kizuna's home. As she does so, she vehemently declares that she is going to enact judgment on Kyo's behalf. Almost immediately, Naofumi and the others realize that she is too absorbed into his mission for "justice" to listen properly and the group starts to fight almost immediately. Despite being overwhelmed in numbers, she uses her skill and mysteriously powerful sword to battle against the group of heroes.
As the fight continues on, Filo warns Naofumi of the attacker's sword. As she does so, an eye appears on the sword's guard. Naofumi realizes that this is a replica of the Legendary Sword using the Spirit Tortoise's power. As the attacker continues to fight, she continues to get stronger and even overcomes Naofumi's incredible defense. As the sword starts making an ominous noise, Naofumi and Glass are finally able to disarm the attacker. However, as the sword flies into the air, it manifests vine-like appendages which wrap itself around the attacker's arm. In an incredible throw, Rishia uses ofuda which Kizuna gave her to burn the vine-like appendages while Raphtalia kicks it away. As it flies out of the house, the ominous noise gets louder as the sword explodes in an incredible powerful blast. With the sword destroyed, the Spirit Tortoise energy within gets absorbed into the Legendary Shield.
The attacker is shocked that the sword self-destructed and nearly killed her. However, she still remains loyal to Kyo and asks the heroes to kill her since she won't give any information away. As they prepare to take her to L'Arc's castle, Naofumi realizes that teleportation to that location is blocked. Noticing something, Filo flies into the sky and sees the castle in the distance - under attack and on fire. The attackers are human-guardian beast hybrids and are using demonic weapons as well. The captured attacker is in disbelief that Kyo would use her as a distraction and begs that they taker her with them to the castle to prove Kyo's innocence.
